The same miniature rail concept with a wider carriage: a larger mounting footprint, higher moment capacity and a lower centre of gravity — for compact axes that carry off-centre loads.
When the load sits off the axis — an overhung camera, a Pick & Place head, a cantilevered sensor — the narrow carriage becomes the weak link: pitching moments eat the preload and the axis wanders. The STW wide carriage widens the footprint instead of raising the profile.
You keep miniature-guide dimensions and the same rail philosophy, but gain the mounting stability that normally forces a step up to a larger (and taller) guide series.
A wider ball track spread directly increases the permissible pitching and rolling moments — the exact spec that fails first with overhung loads on standard carriages.
The wide body adds width, not height. Installations that cannot afford the stack height of a size-up guide series get the moment capacity anyway.
More mounting holes across the carriage body spread the clamping load — the carriage stays put under vibration where a two-screw narrow body can work loose.
Standard length for general axes, long body when the moment or load demands it — the wide series does not force a compromise.

Wide carriages give a larger mounting footprint and higher moment capacity than the same-size standard carriage. Per-size dimension and load datasheets — ask us, we send them within one business day. *Self-lubricating variant availability on request.
Drop-in correspondence to other miniature guide brands, rebuilt from the catalogue. Dashes mean the other brand has no equivalent in that size — not a hidden surcharge.

Replacement guidance: envelope dimensions match; verify hole pattern, preload class and seal option against your drawing before ordering — we check it for you, free.
Two signals: the load sits off the carriage centre (overhung or cantilevered), or the mounting plate needs a wider, more stable bolt pattern. If neither applies, the standard ST is the more economical pick.
STW pairs a wide carriage with the corresponding rail size. Envelope details per size are in the datasheet — ask us and we send it within one business day.
Yes — the cross-reference table above lists the correspondence per size, rebuilt from the catalogue. We verify hole pattern, preload and seals against your drawing before ordering.
